Atopic dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis affects between 15 and 20% of babies. It is a type of eczema that generally occurs between three and six months after birth. Symptoms include redness, itchiness and dry skin. In some cases, weeping or crusted sores may appear.
Atopic dermatitis can also affect adults; however, it is less common.
If you suffer from atopic dermatitis, you should avoid harsh cleansers and use soap-free bars or foam cleansers instead. After washing, pat your skin dry without rubbing and apply a soothing product. We recommend you consult your doctor.
